During the Spring and Summer months (March - September), I only rehab Cottontails. I will take calls for all species and help locate a rehabber for the rescuer and on occasion I'll take in other Critters to stabilize then transfer out to other Wildlife Rehabbers. BUT my passion is for the cottontails, so I concentrate on making their short stay with me very non-stressed. Once the bulk of the cottontail season is over, I will take in Flying Squirrels to help out the other rehabbers with their overload of Critters.
